Chicago In Need Of Another Starter
A year after a 96-loss season for the Chicago Cubs cost Baker his job position, the team rebounded to win the weak NL Central. However, the Cubs did it with only eighty-five victories, finishing just 8 games over .500. They were swept by a highly beatable Arizona Diamondbacks team in the 1st round of the playoffs. This was a significant progress, but at the same time it was a missed opportunity for a franchise that hasn’t been to a WS since 1945 or won one since 1908. Having a great rooster at the moment, the team still needs another starter.
