Sam Fuld Wins Stenson Award
It was only a brief meeting, a little boy meeting an MLB veteran. But it was a moment that the Cubs outfield prospect Sam Fuld has never forgotten. Sam Fuld, just twelve at the time, had the chance to talk to the Detroit Tigers right-handed pitcher Bill Gullickson, who was nearing the end of his fourteen-year baseball career. In 2004, Stenson award went to Mark Teahen. The 2005 award was given to Andre Ethier. Kevin Frandsen was last year’s recipient.
