Former Chicago Cub Hired As Explorers Sioux City Manager
The Sioux City Explorers introduced their new manager yesterday. It is someone, who Chicago Cubs might remember. Eighteen candidates applied for this position, and Les Lancaster has been chosen to become the 5th manager in the team’s history. Les Lancaster was a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs from 1987 to 1991 and spent 7 years in the MLB. Lancaster, 45, has eight years of managerial experience in independent baseball. He has participated in the playoffs 6 times.
