McDonough Resigns From Chicago
McDonough’s job position stays the same even though he has got a new team to run in an entirely different sport. John McDonough resigned Tuesday as president of the Cubs to take a similar position with the Chicago Blackhawks that offered McDonough a multi-year deal he could not pass up. The most striking similarity uniting the two teams is long championship droughts. The Chicago Cubs have not won a WS since 1908, and the Chicago Blackhawks have not captured the Stanley Cup since 1961.
