Will He Fit Right in Left?
Jacque Jones is a Detroit Tiger now. He will be the Tigers’ primary leftfielder in the next season, after a trade with the Cubs this month. The 32-year old Jacque Jones is entering the final season of a 3-year, $16-million deal. Jones signed the contract before the 2006 season, when the Chicago Cubs viewed the player as the long-term successor to Sammy Sosa in right field. Sammy Sosa was beloved by baseball fans at Wrigley Field.
