Tribune Gives Chicago data in January 2008
Media group Tribune Co is going to release financial data on the Cubs to potential buyers in January, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig said yesterday. When Tribune put the Chicago Cubs up for sale in April. The company in fact hoped to seal the deal by the end of the season. Analysts estimated that bids might top $1 billion. However, the sources familiar with the matter stated earlier this month that the whole process would probably be delayed until the early 2008.
