The Chicago Cubs signed Rockford RiverHawk
Derrick Ellison will go to Arizona for the Cubs’ minor-league training. It will be started in March 2008. This isn’t the first time time Ellison has been signed by a major-league organization. He spent a previous month in the Class A California League. Ellison is set to start training this spring as a member of a major-league team.

New York Mets Acquired Outfielder Angel Pagan
The New York Mets acquired outfielder Angel Pagan from the Chicago Cubs for a pair of minor leaguers. Outfielder Corey Coles and Ryan Meyers (right-handed pitcher) were sent to the Cubs. Pagan batted .264 with four home runs and 21 RBIs for Chicago last year.

The Cubs at Wrigley Field
The Cubs will add 70 box seats along the third-base line at Wrigley Field. And they will install new advertising signage inside the ballpark in 2008. The city of Chicago gave the team permission to make the changes. The changes were approved as Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich and Chicago mayor Richard Daley.

A New General Manager for the Cubs
The Chicago cubs have welcomed a new General Manager. His name is Dave Littlefield. His previous place of work was at the Pittsburgh Pirates club. He’s going to lead the team to great results in the new season.
