 Donnie Veal tries his hardest to stay occupied. He has a packed schedule of early workouts at the  Cubs facility located in Mesa, Arizona followed by going to another gym in Tempe to do the usual spring training pitching regimine. Focusing on baseball comes easily to Donnie because it keeps his mind off a rececent string of other responsibilities. The death of  Donnies mother in 2004 was shortly followed the death of  Veal’s father during a scuba diving trip. After the recent struggles in his life Donnie focuses on his workouts and strives to be the best that he can.
