Josh Hamilton - Back In Full Swing
Josh Hamilton, the left handed player born in North Carolina, is sure to be a great player to watch for in the upcoming 2008 baseball season. He has overcome extensive problems with drugs and alcohol to be a surprising addition to the Texas Rangers. The suspensions from the game seem to be behind this fine, young player as many of the fans feel the trade is worth the effort on the part of the Texas Rangers ball club. In the deal that brought Hamilton to the Rangers, Edinison Volquez and Danny Herrara were sent to fill much needed positions in the outfield. Hamilton has been through many obstacles in his short 26 years but seems to be overcoming adversity with an intent that most addicts find hard to cope with. He is under rigorous training not only on the field but also in his personal life as he is utilizing a personal trainer and also a Pilate’s instructor. Hamilton is also required to undergo regular drug testing a few times per week to make sure he stays on track. He considers himself very lucky to have risen from the depths of this drug and alcohol abuse to be given a second chance at using his God given talent.
