2008 marks historic happening for Chicago Cubs
2008 will be a marking year in the Chicago Cubs history. The 2008 season will be the one hundredth time since 1908 that the Cubs have won a World Series. This may not be something they want to celebrate, but perhaps they can get it together this year and come back fighting and break that bad run.
In 1908, they only sold around 6,200 tickets to that World Series. It was way back before Wrigley Park. They played their game in a stadium called Bennett Park.
The team is quite worth watching this year because they have a great manager. Plus, if the Cubs can stay healthy and not suffer any injuries, they may have a shot at coming back to compete in the World Series once again. They had won in the National league in 2007. So maybe this will be the year for the Cubs.
They start their season on February 28 in San Francisco. Buy your tickets now so you can be there when they finally break this long run of not being able to play in the World Series. They still have plenty available for purchase when you decide what games you want to go see.
