“We Believe” the documentary on Chicago Cubs
The documentary Film maker John Scheinfeld is trying to cash on the probable win of Chicago Cubs in the World Series. This is the hundredth year of their win in a championship, last championship was in 1908. John Scheinfeld and his crew will follow the 2008 Chicago Cubs team to film a documentary titled “We Believe”. John made clear that he is not planning to film the history of the Cubs, but is trying to explore the relationship between Chicago, the Cubs and their fans. He wanted to bring out the factors which makes Chicago a unique place and why the people of Chicago are so passionate about their Cubs.
Scheinfeld added that it won’t have any elements of a sports movie; any person who has loved their team will surely like this documentary. The crew will interview nine current players in the Cubs and the players will be the stars. John also has plans to interview former Cub players, politicians and historians and some fans to get an insight about their views regarding Chicago and the Cubs. The Cubs players are given a nod of agreement for the idea and Lee is happy that the crew is asking very relevant questions about the city, fans and Ball Park.
