White Sox player Fields leaves the playing field after injury
Josh Fields was stuck in the right forearm last Wednesday in the Cactus League game against the Rockers by a pitch from Jimenez. The White Sox third baseman was replaced by pinch runner Jason Bourgeois as he was said to be suffering from a bruise on his right forearm that did not need an X-ray to be carried out. The White Sox manager Guillen expects Fields to be out of action for at least a couple of matches, but he was not sure of the seriousness of the injury. Guillen said that he felt really bad for Fields, but was happy for him that nothing serious had happened to him as he was hit by the pitcher between the right forearm and the wrist.
The White Sox manager said that Fields was hit pretty badly on the right spot and the team will review the situation and take necessary action. The manager and the team members acknowledged the fact that Fields was lucky not to suffer a serious injury and expected him to be in the White Sox uniforms very soon. Fields was in a very good knick in his last four games for the White Sox hitting at .429 and has hit .242 in the spring training games.
