Rich Hill to stay in the team despite poor showing

The Chicago Cubs manager Lou Piniella has reassured the Chicago Cub fans that the lefthander Rich Hill will be a part of the Cubs playing team. Piniella had talked to Hill and told him to lessen the pressure he puts on himself. He guaranteed Hill his place in the Cubs player’s list. Piniella said that he is pretty aware of Rich Hill’s game and it is only a matter of time when he will show his class to the Chicago Cubs fans.

He advised Rich Hill to be totally relaxed while throwing the ball and not to think too much while playing. He advised him to concentrate on his throwing and should never loose his focus on the target lying ahead. Piniella said that Hill was capable of achieving 15 to 16 ball game wins this year. Rich Hill had a 3.92 ERA in his last season which was also his first full season in the big leagues.
