Marquis and Lee Propel Cubs to Victory
Jason Marquis is one happy Cub. Yep, he has secured his first win this season and brought the Chicago Cubs another triumphant game against the Pirates. The final score came up to be 13-1. Marquis managed to win the game with his six astronomically solid innings and this pivotal moment happened at the Wrigley Field last Saturday. To date, this was Marquis’ best performance so far in the season. He commented that he was lucky to have good stride and momentum in the game, and even thanked his team for giving good support in order to win the game.
Marquis is not the only Cub who did his part in awarding the team an unprecedented victory against the Pirates. Derrek Lee also managed to prove his mettle by belting out his seventh home run. His offensive assault is worth a mention where his two-run homer bested Tom Gorzelanny from the Pirates.
