Padres halts Cubs 4 game winning streak
The Chicago Cubs received a severe jolt when the San Diego Padres beat them 4-3 in a rain affected game at their home turf last Tuesday night. Jason Marquis, who is in the poorest form of his career, served up four runs in the fourth inning, one walk over and nine hits over 5 2/3 innings. Marquis has taken the blame upon him for the defeat and felt that his mistakes are blown up more than it ought to. Marquis had five good innings and one bad inning that led to the defeat of the Cubs, according to Coach Lou Piniella.
