Pitchers bad outing results in Cubs loss to Pirates

The super pitcher Carlos Zambrano had the worst start of the season and this resulted in the Pirates handing over a 7-6 defeat to the Chicago Cubs last Saturday afternoon despite the heroic efforts put in by hitter Alfonso Soriano. The Pirates beat the Cubs for the first time this season and have ended a seven game losing streak by beating the Cubs. Soriano’s five hits and two straight home runs was one of the face saving acts for the Cubs last Saturday. The other pitcher Carlos Marmol also acknowledged that he did not have a good outing during the game against the Pirates and fans who had purchased tickets to watch the Cubs performance went home disappointed.
