Bako is Backo
Paul Bako, who played catcher for the Cubs a few years ago, is back with the team! He has signed with the team for 750,000 dollars plus up to 300,000 in bonuses based on the number of games that he plays in. The main reason for him to join was that he has a left […]

Not So Fast
The sale of the Cubs isn’t way off target. It’s also not final yet. Apparently, the sale will have to be reviewed by a bankruptcy judge before it will be able to go through. This is part of the Cubs’ bankruptcy filing that happened several months ago and they want to check it out, just […]

Chicago Cubs: Bought
The Chicago Cubs have reportedly been bought out, as expected. The Ricketts Family has apparently purchased the team for $900 million, which is an amazing amount of money. Just thinking of how long it would take the normal person, even in a normal economy, to make this amount, is hard to fathom. Many many years, […]

Felix Pie is gone. He used to be the best prospect in the Chicago Cubs’ farm system, a couple years ago anyway, but he never really made an impact on the team. They’ve Found A Lefty…and Righty
The Cubs may have found the balance they need in the middle of the order when they recently signed switch hitter Milton Bradley to a 3-year, $30 million contract. Bradley is expected to be a much better hitter than Fukudome, who struggled in his first year with the Cubs. Moving him over to Center field […]

DeRosa Subrosa
Mark DeRosa has been moved out of Chicago. The Cubs had been looking for some way to get him out for a little while now and here he goes. To Cleveland. DeRosa had a great year in Chicago last season, playing for something like six different positions, wherever needed really. And he also had his […]

Wrigley A Hit
The results are in and Wrigley Field was a hit yesterday for the NHL’s second annual Winter Classic. Unfortunately for Chicago fans, the Blackhawks weren’t. After taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the first period of play, the Hawks were unable to sustain the lead and ultimately fell 6-4.
